There is nothing I love more than peeking into other people’s closets. I think it gives you a chance to see who they are and what they like. This week while surfing the web for new images, ideas and inspirations I came across the closet of Eugene Tong the Senior Style Editor of Details Magazine. All I gotta say is WOW! Picture perfect. Not only was it well organized, but he had the pieces to match. I love a man who can keep an impeccable closet. A tip of the hat to you Eugene.

FINDING TOKYO

Yesterday I had the opportunity to meet up with one of my favorite bloggers, Hana of Finding Tokyo. We met up at a little coffee shop in Ikebukuro to talk about life in Tokyo, the world of blogging and the future of our careers. It was so refreshing to sit and have a conversation with such a like-minded person. A big THANK YOU to you Hana for keeping me inspired.

After coffee we went into the photo booth AKA purikura for a little fun! How crazy are these pix? I love em!

MT. FUJI

On Saturday morning my friend Mai and I got up bright and early(4am to be exact)to head down to Hakone,(about two hours outside of Tokyo)to visit the Tenzan Tohji-kyo hot springs and to do a little sightseeing. The drive down was so beautiful, so peaceful. I really got to see the softer side of Japan.

Once we reached our destination, I began to feel a little nervous because I’ve never been to a hot spring before, nor have I ever been naked outside with a large group of women in 30º weather. YIKES! After a nice explanation from Mai of what was going to be happening, I was ready to get in! The moment I step foot into that boiling hot water and that steam hit my face, I was in heaven. You can’t help but to feel relaxed and rejuvenated. The experience was amazing, I highly recommend it.

After that little adventure, we headed to this charming little curry restaurant for lunch. It was just the kind of fuel we needed to get our day started.

First Stop- Hakone Sekisho Museum/Park: A museum about…. about…. I have no idea, everything was in Japanese. I just stood there looking pretty and taking pix.

Second Stop- Owakudani: Where we enjoyed an amazing view of Mt. Fuji and got to experience an active volcanic zone. (The clouds kept getting in the way of my pictures. It was better in person)

Final Stop- Garyu: The food here was phenomenal!! The fish, as fresh as it gets. The staff, as kind as can be. This place has become my new favorite restaurant. I wish I had a link to share with you guys, but they don’t have a website. The good ones never do.

I wanna send out a big TAHNK YOU to my girl Mai and her brother for making all this happen. It means so much to me. A tip of the hat to you both. Love you!

COPACABANA

Over the weekend we had a few friends over for a little get-together, it was the perfect combination of good food and good company. After a few hours my roommate and I left to go salsa dancing, now I’m not normally into salsa dancing but once I got a drink in my hand and that reggaeton came on, it was game over!

TOKYO CHAMPIONS

I had such a great time last night, I went to this bar in Shinjuku called Champion. I absolutely fell in love with the place the moment I walked in. Its kinda like one of those bars that you go to and about 10 minutes into it, you’re friends with everyone. A: Because it’s small and B: Because only the most down-to-earth, cool-ass people go there. I love those places. On my way home I stopped by my new favorite burger joint for a little late night snack. Can you say soooooo GOOD?!! Special thanks to my friend Katsu for showing me such a good time.
